Attic Inspection

Attic spaces in South Florida homes are often forgotten since its one of those "out of site out of mind" parts of the house. Attic spaces can be used to store belongings, AC units, and even water heaters get installed inside of attics. Sometimes we find electrical wires that were left uncapped creating hazards such as electrocution or fire. Due to the unconditioned, hot, and many times humid condition of attics, they provide the perfect breading grounds for rodents, raccoons, and mold. Additionally, poorly insulated attics can cost homeowners thousands of dollars in unnecessary electricity costs. 

What's Included with your ATTIC Inspection?

Our Attic Inspection is one of the most complete attic inspections in the Market. We include the following:

1. ​Determination the location of your attic access.
2. Determine the size of the attic space and if the clearance is safe for penetration.
3. Determination if the attic has a safe and functioning ladder.
4. Determine the type and condition of the insulation inside the attic and calculate if the insulation is sufficient. Any ruptured or leaking duct work is also part of the inspection.
5. Determine if the attic is well ventilated or if there are enough ventilation features.
6. Determine if there are any roof leaks, wood rot, critters, or anything else that could jeopardise the condition of the attic.
7. We look at the Roof Geometry and advise any retrofits that you can do to make your roof more secure against wind storm.
8. Determination of Secondary Water Resistance. Also called as Sealed Roof Deck. ​
9. We take pictures and include all the pictures required by your insurance company with your report.
10. We DO NOT perform Attic or Roof Repairs. Therefore, rest assured that we have no interest in doing any work in your home or business. In fact, people use us to verify that their roofers did the work right.
